Humminbird vs Lowrance vs Garmin
Humminbird vs Lowrance vs Garmin
Best fish finders
In the test, both images were taken at exactly the same time on a boat that drives over a structure. Both echo sounders were run in the factory settings. Exactly how the devices come out of the packaging. In contrast to the comparison tests of a well-known German echo sounder dealer, which are obviously deceived even for laypeople, this is a real, fair comparison. It is also certain that you can still get a lot more performance out of both devices with special settings.
Garmin Ultra High Definition Scanning Sonar is an expensive black box solution. In addition to the echo sounder, you have to buy a special encoder and an additional module that provides the computing and software power for ultra high definition scanning. However, the improvement in quality is clearly noticeable as in this comparison image from the official Garmin website

The original: Humminbird MEGA Imaging with a HELIX G3 echo sounder. Both echo sounders were used directly in the delivered factory condition without setting (hence the different times, the time zone was not set).
